Lewis Sherlock
Lewis Sherlock is a Physical Theatre Practitioner and Director working professionally in Scotland. He has been involved in numerous productions and regularly performs with Oceanallover, Dudendance and Surge mainly through their festival of the same name.
Lewis has Directed small scale ensemble shows and is currently developing his own experimental practice and solo works related to both the comedic aspects of clowning and bouffon as well as butoh dance, complicity, grounding, and choral disciplines. His solo work has been shown at Anatomy, Clown Cabaret Scratch Night, On The Verge, Physical Fest, (Liverpool) and Kelburn Garden Party and his street performance has taken him to Sri Lanka, Prague, Brno and Ireland to date.
He has found exciting things occur at the meeting of unique theatrical forms, in response to this he aided Al Seed and Judith Milligan set up ‘the Bouffon and Tragic Chorus Masterclasses’, and Choral Jam – A company originally concerned with exploring ensemble work.
